Homesick

Many of the students who had just entered the dormitory or college is feel very sad & miss home (the family). For those who have lived in a dorm or college would not be a problem. The problem that too sad for missing family called homesick. To students who have homesick, you must strengthen your spirit because your parents at home very expect of your success. Among the factors that cause homesick are the far distance from home, not a desire to be in a far place, never felt a hard life or sense of independence and feel trapped. Here are eight tips to overcome homesick:

1. Recognize & accept the fact that you really miss your home (the family). Let your sense of feeling down until it gradually disappears.

2. Engage in activities organized by the hostel or college so you do not get bored & forget the feeling of homesick.

3. Familiarize yourself with the new environment. You can bring your favorite items to the dorm or college to help you familiarize yourself.

4. Try to be open. The more you open to new things so indirectly you will begin to forget the old stuff. It may help you forget that feeling of homesick.

5. Good at communicating. Do not be quiet and try to communicate with people around to adding friends. Many friends who will make you feel a sense of fun and then forget about homesick.

6. Always keep in touch with your parents at home.

7. Stay healthy.

8. Give yourself time to forget the feeling of homesick.


Homesick is a normal feeling but we must fight it
